Başıbüyük entered the literary world with her first novel Leblebi, which is followed by her novels “Tasmalı Kanguru” “B.AŞK.A”, “Liderlik Felsefesine Deniz Tuzu”, “Nebahat” and “The Sixth Hero” which was published in Canada. In addition to her books, Başıbüyük has written nearly a thousand articles on topics ranging from her professional career in management consulting to social issues, published across newspapers, magazines, digital platforms and academic journals.




In 2010, she received an honorable mention in a short story competition held in Toronto, Canada, and her story was included in a collective book by the Toronto Ankara Library. As a consultant, Başıbüyük has provided services to numerous national and international organizations in Turkey and Canada. Her expertise spans strategic personnel research, management and strategy development, leadership practices, structural evaluation and restructuring, employment consultancy, and training. She prioritizes a consultancy approach that incorporates not only economic but also sociological and environmental awareness. Her consultancy career began in 1991 at Ankara Business Center and has continued through Capella & Auriga Management Consultancy, which she founded in 1993. Başıbüyük has prepared numerous corporate training programs and delivered them both to professional clients and non-profit organizations voluntarily. Over ten years, she organized volunteer training sessions and workshops for organizations such as Canada Famous 5, Save the Children, and Hayata Destek Derneği to support underprivileged youth. She has also provided education and presentations for non-profit organizations including YES (Europe Young Businessmen Confederation), TUGIAD, Jaycees, various universities, book fairs, literary events, and others.
In 2017, Başıbüyük graduated from the Development Studies program at Calgary University. This program focused on social, economic, and political change with studies on poverty, hunger, environment, community development, sustainable and participatory development efforts, colonialism, anthropology, human rights, social justice, and gender inequalities. Prior to this education, she graduated from Bilkent University in 1991. A Turkish-Canadian citizen and mother of one child, Başıbüyük is fluent in Turkish (her native language), English (advanced level), and French (intermediate level). Beyond her writing career, she passionately follows all forms of art and engages in amateur ballet photography. She also embraces diving, sailing, licensed basketball playing, snowboarding, and other sports as part of her lifestyle while cherishing nature as an integral aspect of her life.
